ABOUT US
Just as life is a journey,
Native and Nature has gone through it's own evolution. In
1991 we opened in the old Volant schoolhouse as Options. In the
process of finding our "niche" we later changed our name to
Southwest Options, and finally Native and Nature. I
think the name finally reflects not only our product line, but also
our message - we are all interconnected. I am a firm
believer in "The Golden Rule", so I hope you feel you are a valued
guest when you visit the shop.
The Native theme may make
you pause and think-just for a moment, about our own country's
treatment of it's indigenous peoples. Other items
have been selected to bring a smile to your face, for without humor
life would be unbearably dull! The music
is intended to relax you, to slow you down enough to enjoy the
things that have been selected for the shop- the materials, the
textures, the details, the colors.
While I do the
selection, Lois's touch is evident in the ever evolving
displays. I'd be lost without her! My husband, Frank, occasionally
makes a guest appearance behind the counter, but is
an important part of the behind the scenes support.
So, while we
sincerely hope you find some items that appeal to you
enough to buy them, we also hope your visit to Native and Nature is
an experience you'll enjoy.
Hope you'll visit us
soon,
Sincerely,
Karen,Frank, and Lois.
